So a few months ago, I was still into tf2 trading but found it hard to make profit. I was metal crazy I guess. So I decided to devise a way to scam people using raffle groups and impersonating admins. I went through and added people, pretending to be an admin, offering to raffle their item. Nobody really fell for it and eventually I attempted to scam someone who was smart enough to report me on SteamRep. I was pretty sad and decided to just quit trading forever. That worked and I just played tf2 for the great game that it is, I didn't really care that I was marked on SteamRep. I now really want to get in to CS:GO trading and to do that, I need to get unmarked from SteamRep. I'm not trying to sound sappy or anything, but I'm really never going to scam again. I'm also not denying that I scammed someone, or really attempted to scam someone. Again, nobody fell for it. So really I got banned for impersonating somebody in the ATTEMPT to scam. I now see no point in scamming because that consequences are much bigger than the reward. Thanks for reading. P.S. I have no chats or any real evidence due to the fact that I was banned a few months ago. Please provide any and all evidence Please add any miscellaneous information we should know Is there any private information you wish to provide?
Whether you successfully scammed or not, you did impersonate an admin, and you didn't just do it once, you continuously did it to try to get profit. What's to stop you from having your tag removed and then continuing such behavior in CSGO? Ultimately, the tag serves a purpose in that it protects the community at large. I understand that you see the consequences now, but the fact you were willing to impersonate an admin for metal, makes me hard pressed to accept an appeal so that you can go trade in CSGO.
I was expecting something like that, I understand where you are coming from, and since I cannot let you into my mind, there is no real way to prove that I won't ever scam again. But if there is, I would be more than happy to make right everything I have done. I just don't really know how.
There's no guaranteed way to prove that and quite honestly, I don't believe that someone should just be unmarked because they want to trade in another game. I've decided to decline this appeal. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
