I was marked here back in 2014 and Eoj Charlie told me the things I said did not justify or prove I should be unmarked here. However he did say I could appeal here in a few months:

I've finally dealt with my Steamrep tag and it's now a caution tag - I believe 5+ years for this caution tag and already having a Steamrep should already be enough - Think at this point it would just confuse people if I have multiple caution tags.

If your appeal is granted, what steps would you take to prevent a similar incident in the future
I've done some smaller non tf2 related trades since my mark and I've just stopped exchanging +rep, period. I'll continue with that policy and obviously if there's any actual legit cash related trades I'll only have them in my respective threads.

 

I wouldn't say it was soliciting fake rep, but I could see why someone else would interpret as such. So leaning more towards the A) point you mentioned - and I haven't done anything since nor have any plans to ever do such thing again.
