Why You Should Play ______

As the title says - we are all gamers here - sell us on your favorite(s) - maybe you’ll end up with new partners (or enemies) that enjoy playing the same games you guys do - I’ll start


You should play Hunt Showdown - a pvpve shooter game set in 1890s Louisiana Bayou in a timeline where monsters are real and a plague swept through the state. You play as a hunter who is part of a group killing monsters for sport to earn a payout. Each game has either 1 or 2 targets to hunt - collecting clues to reveal their location. However you are not the only one hunting them- you and up to 2 partners have to fight with up to 12 other people for the bounties and extract with them.

the game excels in its sound design as the sound is the absolute most powerful tool in the game - sound reveals the location of everything and can help you plan your strategies on dealing with the bosses, monsters and other players. Even the slightest sound you make can give your location as well so you must be careful and patient.

The gunplay is solid - there are absolutely no crutch weapons and nothing is automatic - a game centered around headshots where all can be killed with one shot (if within effective range) and everyone is equal - there are a ton of weapons at your disposal such as classic bolt actions like the mosin and Springfield , lever actions like the Winfield and it’s variants, revolvers, all flavors of shotguns from double barrels to pumps, bows and arrows, knives and a slew of others including some hunt specials such as the bomb lance which is part harpoon bomb gun and part bigass whoopin stick and the Caldwell chain pistol which many of you have seen but don’t know the game.

the game has a lot of progression and a lot of customization features to keep you involved, it is a very difficult game to master but is highly engaging and no 2 fights are ever the same - there is no other game like it and it is absolutely worth your time.
