Possible? Yes. Going to happen? No. It would require A LOT of working, a ton of training for myself, AYS, Rokstar and Lemon, as well as changing the way HG works. It would also probably affect All-Trade 1 and 2, and the rest of our servers. Ultimately, there isn't that much of a lag problem on the servers. One consideration for me is making the test server completely blank, re-installing everything and then starting from scratch. Just to get everything as clean as possible. But like I said, that's a large undertaking and since there isn't that much lag, I don't have much concern for it.
If you do this then i think you should remove the damage indicators... I hate it when i see my shotgun do 7 damage from 3 feet away...
Hmm, I agree on that. I would also rather go with something easier instead of something which would make my job harder.
They are actually helpful in a way. If you are innocent you will know approximately where you got hurt. If the damage indicators weren't there I would be walking around with like 1 health lol.
I thought I'd list the problems with running HG on Windows machines: * 2-3x more resource usage on services we don't need * Management much more difficult, not compatible with our current server management software * Expense of Windows licenses - Server OS can cost up to 1000$ * Arguably less secure * Lots of work for me in addition to all the other server maintenance * Windows updates are a pain in the arse
