Do you have any previous Admin experience, if so, where and when?
Unfortunately, I do not have any previous admin experience on a server. But if it means anything, I volunteered for a political campaign during my junior year of high school (governor of VA). I was essentially an "intern" and during the two days leading up to election day, and on election day, I was in charge of teaching multiple "shifts" of volunteers to canvass (going to a list of houses in certain neighborhoods and making sure the residents of those homes went out to vote).

What ideas or skills can you bring to the table?
Although I am a cheerful guy (sometimes to a fault), I am able to handle problems/issues calmly and maturely. I also respond well to constructive criticism, as I look at it as a way to improve and use as a tool for future reference.

Why do you think you would be a good staff member?
I believe I would be a good staff member because I am a cheerful fella and I enjoy socializing with others. I see myself engaging in conversation with people on the server, whether they are new to the server or regulars. I would also enjoy helping out new traders, because, while I’m not an amazing, high tier trading expert, I could offer valuable advice and share personal experiences, etc. I have also noticed that there are times when a staff member needs to go take care of real life things and nobody else is there to get on. In these instances, I would be more than happy cover for them, even if it was just for thirty minutes to an hour. I am also able to handle issues in a calm, mature manner, without letting things get to my head. I would be consistently active, and while there may be periods where I won’t be able to get on for a day or two due to real life things, I would do my best to make sure that I am there to be as helpful as I can be. If something did come up and I wasn’t able to get on for a while (a week, for example), I would be sure to inform any staff members of the reason(s) for my absence.

How much time can you spend per-day on the servers/forums?
I could spend anywhere between an hour and two hours on weekdays and two to four hours on weekends on the servers. I do check the forums often for news/updates on anything, so I couldn't give a specific amount of hours.

What do you think the current staff is doing right?
I feel like the current staff is doing great at keeping people engaged by hosting runmans and mass server spycrabs, as well as being friendly and fun to talk to, whether it's in Mumble, on server, or over Steam message.

What things do you think the staff, or Harpoon Gaming as a whole, could improve on?
In terms of improvements, I hate to be “that guy”, but I always thought the addition of an Unusual server would be pretty cool. It's an idea that was proposed a while ago and I think making it happen would be awesome. I also believe it would greatly expand HG

Why do you want to be a member of the Staff?
Harpoon Gaming is a great community that I have been on since before the Summer of 2014, although I didn’t become as much of a regular as I am today until around May/June 2015, and I feel that it is time to take a large step and become a bigger part of HG.

Are you ready to act as middleman for events and trades?
Yes, I certainly am!

I have read the prerequisites for applying for a staff position, I understand them and believe I have met them.

Any miscellaneous information we should know?
I enjoy playing on pubs. If I were on TF2 and was not needed on server, I may get on a pub and play a bit until further notice.

For the "How many hours do you have in our server?" question, I added my total hours in All Trade, All Trade 2, and All Trade 3.

 

I certainly understand where your concerns are coming from. I will not deny that I have more instances than I care to think of where I have responded/acted immaturely or in a rowdy manner. It is something I have been working on, something I will continue to work on, and I do feel that I have made improvements here and there.

I know that I am able to handle certain situations with calm and maturity because I have done so many times in real life and becoming a bigger part of the HG community and attempting to assist in expanding it is something I would take very seriously. I would like to apologize for having given you doubts in regards to my attitude/personality.
