Ranting

Ranting? Did someone say ranting? Well I have just the fucking rant for you.
I got some time to kill while Sid Meier's Beyond Earth downloads so let me start this off with a bit of a background on the kind of person I am outside of HG. I am for the most part anti-social, I don't text people, I don't hang out with anyone, I avoid people at school when I can, and I avoid talking to my parents as much as possible. I have totally 100% neglected my social life like Jor-El abandoned his only child. I spend my time meditating, working, and playing games. My days are a constant struggle against ponderous life at school, the temptations of drugs and alcohol, and the ever present suicidal thoughts that intrude upon my mind. The only thing I have to look forward to is when Decembers arrives so I can finally release my urgent need for freedom and obtain my license.

But I wasn't always this way. No, I used to be very outgoing. I think this narrative dates all the way back to 2011 A.D. I was in eighth grade at the time. It was a transitional period after switching schools due to several factors (one of which being that the bus I rode got shot with a pellet gun by some hoodlums) and I knew almost no-one at my new school. But as outgoing as I was I made several new friends and we managed to get along swimmingly. I had two best friends in eighth grade, Anon 1 and Anon 2. We were the best of friends and were always at each other's houses. Ninth grade rolls around and we part ways to different high schools, as it happens I also at this time shut off contact with anon 1 and anon 2 from middle school and traduce them as assholes. I didn't act without reason though because these two were notorious for being particularly mean to one foreign student, an act that up until recently never forgave them for. The important part to take away from this is that I detached myself from my two best friends at the time.

Well Freshman year was an awkward experience. I adjusted to the high school life and even managed to fail a class (yay!). But I grew really close to a small group of friends during this year and we formed ourselves into a make-shift crew. The summer before ninth grade one of our old friends moved back to town and he was welcomed back with open arms. This friend, his name is Skeletor, lied to us for several months about his old life, stating he had a great social life back in his old town and that he had tons of friends. The reality of that situation is that Skeletor in fact was a social leper at his old home and we eventually found out about his lies, for a short time he was excluded from out group. Another friend in the group, who we will call ASSHAT, was my best friend. ASSHAT was an athlete, he got good grades, and he had girls constantly throwing panties at him. All of these he loved to share in explicit detail and bragged all the time. This got on out nerves and was the cause of many confrontations within the group. Then we get to Fata$$, Fata$$ loved to brag about the amount of money his parents own and he seriously neglected his health resulting in him being overweight. Then there is Triphazard, Triphazard has dreams of being a stuntman and out of all the members of a little shit show he was by far the most level headed. The important part to take from here is that our "group" of "friends" is a very dysfunctional bunch.

Sophomore year, or as I like to call it the year the shit hit the fan. Sophomore year started out pretty steady, everyone was having a good time and we for the most part didn't fight much. During this year I met the bane of my existence, though I didn't know it at the time. Lets call her Bane. I met Bane at the mall while I was hanging out with ASSHAT and we hit it off pretty well. So we slowly started hanging out more and more until we started dating in October last year. Our relationship was a great one that lasted 8 months. It was by far the best and worst relationship that ended in a fiasco. No relationship is perfect but what we had seemed pretty damn close. ASSHAT being the kind of guy he is attempted to flirt with Bane on an almost daily basis. This lead to many conflicts after which he always promised to stop but never did. 8 MONTHS comes around so Bane and I celebrate with a day down at the creek. While out on our day at the creek Bane decides to break the news. SHES A LESBIAN?!? Now I had always known she was bi but then she came out to me stating she didn't find guys attractive at all. So I broke up with Bane and we attempted to stay friends for the few weeks left in the school year. Well to top off the fact that Bane is a lesbian, ASSHAT shows up at my house to apologize. ASSHAT is always a prideful guy and when he apologizes he means it. What was he apologizing about? HE MADE OUT WITH BANE AFTER WE FUCKING BROKE UP. Wait I thought she was a lesbian?? So of course I tell him to fuck himself with a cactus and I denounce both of them Civ V style. This backfires on me. All my "friends": Fata$$, Skeletor, and Triphazard all side with Bane and ASSHAT. WHAT THE HELL? We as a group always stood up to the policy bros before hos but the one time it actually matters everyone sides with the shittiest people on the fucking planet.

So here I am, Junior year, no friends, no life, and all I want to do is get away from here. The only solace I can find is through video games and drugs. I've detached myself from all my friends. I can't trust people anymore and I feel like I only have myself to blame. If I had just fucking made better friends than I wouldn't be in this position. On the plus side Beyond Earth just finished downloading and that unlocks in half an hour, so its not all bad is it?


TLDR: Stupid Drama, No friends, Sadness.

 

Well I was going to rant about some shit, but after reading Sloth's... Nope.

 

I give up, GO SLOTH!

 

Dang, Sloth. And I thought I had it terrible in Sophmore year. But yeah, I totally understand how that's like. Literally the same thing happpened to me 3 months ago. And it still fucking sucks. Life goes on, even if its a total hellhole.
