Hello there!

I recently discovered I was permanently banned from the Harpoon Gaming servers. I'll be honest, it took me quite awhile to think of why I could have possibly been banned. So, I checked Steamrep and thankfully recognized the name of the moderator by which I was banned.

I joined the Harpoon trade server earlier this morning to be met with immediate political conversation. Normally, I don't get into it, but today I was in an especially irritable mood (I work night shifts at a manufacturing firm, hopefully you can understand ) so it was easy to push my buttons. I will admit, I got butthurt with some of the opinions I heard. Granted, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I was simply in a really irritable mood. Long story short, Eoj_Charlie made a comment over chat - it wasn't worded like this at all, nor did he probably say it with this intent, but with my currently easily irritable mind it came off as him saying "If anyone has a different opinion than me, you're an idiot scum."

I'm going to re-clarify, he NEVER actually said anything that way - but the way he worded his point, I got butthurt. Granted, it didn't warrant me calling him a "*******" in response, which is probably why I'm typing this post right now.

In the end, this was a minor conflict. I've used Harpoon Gaming servers for as long as I can remember, and it's always been great. I love your servers, I love what you're about, and I'd hate to never be able to use them again over such a tiny incident. I agree that I shouldn't have exploded like that, but at the end of the day, it's just two people that got butthurt because they have opposing political views. I feel like even though what I said was probably a little out of line, I don't think it warrants a permanent ban - however I think it's perfectly reasonable that "Disrespecting Admins/Players" would warrant a one to two week ban.

Thank you for your time, and my personal apologies to Eoj_Charlie! But honestly, I was in a super irritable mood. I think everyone's had their man-period at least once.

I feel like that's all the evidence there is... I don't think I ever said anything worse than "*******," but feel free to correct me on that if I'm wrong!

Ah, really? I checked Steamrep after you had posted.
When I posted this up, it was a permanent ban - I know that for certain. I suppose someone amended that between now and then.
