Not sure if this is the right place to ask, But I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a service called TinkerCAD I was asked to experiment with it and I can't tell if this would be detailed enough to make decent 3D models of about 50mm x 50mm x 50mm in size. Always worh asking for opinions on if it would be feasible to make detailed models with this software? (P.S Probably worded this terribly)
I personally haven't dealt with TinkerCAD, but if it works similar to most, it should be fine. And it's always possible to get the accuracy you want on large scale and the scale it down.
While I never heard of TinkerCAD but you can make some nice looking 3D models with those sizes. If you don't mind me asking. What are you trying to create?
I have to make a set of trees that can be used to show the customer what is going to be constructed out of steel and other various prototypes.
I've worked with tinker cad for the purposes of 3d printing a variety of components. The program is great because it is simple to use, requires no installation, and usually gets the job done quicker than a more fully featured program. However, in my experience it is very limited in that it works mostly with simple geometries, so it is best used to create rough shapes which are then further customized in a different program. Tinker cad does have the option to extrude vectors, so if you are familiar with inkscape this functionality can be of great use (I used it to make a Batarang for my friend).
