So I've been using my ps vita system for a few months now and I LOVE it. It has good specs for a handheld and amazing games and to name a few there is Killzone Mercenaries, Tearaway, Borderlands 2, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss, these games are really good, and there are many more, including one of my favorite genres, JRPG's. To name the popular ones there is Persona 4: Golden and Final Fantasy 7 and 8. You can't forget indies and there are lots of them on the vita, even if they are just ports. Don't starve, Counterspy, and Thomas was alone. Yet to my confusion people seem to hate the system. I know it hasn't had many big game releases this past year but, they have so many indies that I just don't really care anymore, I mean you can easily put in more hours in Terraria or Don't starve than in most other AAA titles. It is also doing really good in Japan, sometimes outselling the PS4 and 3Ds. I mean the only cause for this would be all the JRPG's, right? I took a gander at the Japanese store for the Vita and it had so many JRPG's and Anime type games. Most of those there are probably good, Japan is the king of RPG's and the like. The top 4 most downloaded games for the store this month are all JRPG's, and for good reason too, I've played all of the four, and they were good, a few had a flaw here and there but they were enjoyable (My personal favorite JRPG series has to be the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, its just so good.) But when I talk to my friends about it, they say things like "Keep that weeaboo trash away from me." Or "WOW! You are such a child if you're playing that game." And well I just have one question. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATE FOR THEM?!
I think one of the reasons for the PS Vita hate is because it's more of a handheld media system than a gaming console and one reason could be also the youtube app removal.
