Recommend a Game!

Not affected by your lists but these are just some of my favourites: Battleblock Theater, Mass Effect, The Walking Dead, EDGE, Super Meat Boy, and Bastion but you've already listed that.

I also assume you've played Portal and Portal 2.

 

Gone Home is a nice game. It's not really a game, more of an interactive story, and it's kind of short, but the story behind it is cute. Not sure if I would recommend it for the $20, but right now it's only $4. It's not a game for game-play value, but more of the entire story of it. It comes off a bit creepy, but there are no jump scares or anything like that.

 

Valkyria Chronicles, Among the Sleep, Contagion, and Battle Blocks Theater. These are good games and I would recommend them to you and other people.

(No Particular order)

 

1.) Antichamber (you already own it but have no playtime) - A game made to screw with a gamer instincts and screw with your sense of the surroundings
2.) Fallout 3/New Vegas (I prefer 3 over Vegas personally) - Game of exploration and choices as well as interesting story and fun game play
3.) Risk of Rain (kind of like a side scrolling binding of Isaac) - You play as one of several characters as you attempt to gather items in order to defeat harder enemies and bosses, but just as like many roguelikes, die and your back to square one
4.) Lambda Wars (first Half Life RTS mod that just got a massive update and multiplayer servers) - This one is relatively new to the scene, but still looks like a promising RTS and it involves many of the faces and creatures from the half life universe with several layers of strategy (such as building barricades for units to take cover behind in battle)

 

Insurgency is a nice and simple FPS that seems pretty realistic without being overly complicated.

A more comedic and cool game would be any of the Dead Risings... The first one isn't on steam, but 2 and onwards is on there. Basically a zombie slayer where you fuck around an area and do stuff.
