Which of these smartphones is best? Consider speed, multitasking, and overall amount of cool features.
The Windows Phone is God awful. The iPhone is dumbed down technology and is only good for those who don't want good tech and want to pay too much. Galaxy is the best of those bunch.
Windows Phone: Never had any experience with it so I have no idea. iPhone: Just overpriced in my opinion, as Joe said, it's just dumbed down technology and if you wanna pay £550 just for a Phone that has a "FingerPrint Touch" and has the Apple logo on it, then go for it. The galaxy out of the 3 is the best choice.
Haven't had any experience with the Samsung or the Windows phones but the iPhone is fairly easy to use and gets the job done.
The Windows Phone is like using a suicide bomb to go hunting. The iPhone is like paying $5000 for a wooden spear. And the Galaxy is having a hunting rifle. Sure, the iPhone is easy to use and gets the job done, but I prefer not paying out the ass for an overestimated and overhyped piece of technology. Plus I'm also using my money to reward companies that DON'T yell lawsuit every time someone makes a phone similar to them.
I agree the windows phone is terrible. Have not had a ton of experience with the galaxy phone but i have heard it can do more than the iphone.
I've never used a Galaxy but I've heard great comments. The I Phone would be my second choice but the price is ridiculous. And the Windows Phone is a joke.
(High End) Samsung Galaxy series hands down out of the three. There are other phones (HTC One, LG G2, Sony Xperia Z, etc) which are really good too. But not all phones are the same, even if they're the same "phone". I own an off-contract Galaxy S4 i9500 (Octa-core) and compared to a demo Canadian-Regional Galaxy S4 i9505 (Quad-core) I tested in a carrier store, the Galaxy S4 i9500 is actually a bit faster than the Galaxy S4 i9505.
Personally, I find this comment a bit wrong. You are comparing two OS's, (Windows Phone, iOS) - Since they are technically OS's in this context, as they are only on these devices. Then you are saying that Galaxy is the best. Galaxy is a phone running a modified version of AOSP. I totally agree with you in the context of the OS, However, I actually disagree on the phone hardware itself. Samsung are starting to make their phones more and more locked down. The almost developer nature of the OS is starting to drop off, as Samsung begin to make it harder to modify these phones. Admittedly it started as a way to track custom roms/rooting for those who break their phones and then expect Samsung to repair it for them, that makes sense to me entirely. It seems now, unless my information is incorrect, that the ability to unlock the bootloader is or will be further restricted. Which is a shame, since the Galaxy hardware is quite nice, and the improvements they make to AOSP are very functional. This is why I personally opted for a Nexus model, Since they are pretty much 'If you know what your doing, we don't care what you do to your own phone'. What im trying to say, is that we should probably be comparing device OS (All Software functionality) Independant from the hardware it is on, since there are so many more Android devices than there are iOS and Windows Phone ones. I hope that makes sense. (I also totally agree with the Windows Phone. We have one at work for testing, and oh my god. In a room with 4 techies, it takes us hours to do basic things. Its terrible, it really is.) Also - Im referring more to the thread itself than your reply in specific, Joe.
