Hi, I wanted to draw your attention to this important petition that I recently signed: "Steam Escrow Petition" http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/steam-escrow-petition I really think this is an important cause, and I'd like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It's free and takes just a few seconds of your time. Thanks!
I don't think signing a petition will make a big company like Valve change their decision making. If you really boil down to it this whole escrow thing is in response to the large amount of gambling in games like CS:GO ESPECIALLY underage gambling and could also be in response to the iBuyPower throwing scandal also from CS:GO.
Not to mention over 9 million accounts on Steam itself. You got to 0.1% of that already. Good luck getting to half of 9 million.
it takes 7 days to confirm it and when it is being confirmed you dont get to keep your items and you dont get to get their items and yor for that?
http://steamcommunity.com/app/440/discussions/0/492378806378670586/ This is a good discussion that explains what escrow is and how communities and kids without phones can get around it. Communities have already set up bots that will work with escrow. If you want to get the steam app but don't have a phone, just download the Android Emulator onto your computer. It acts as a mobile device, but it is on your computer. http://developer.android.com/tools/help/emulator.html While this update is somewhat annoying, there are plenty of ways to get around it and will help out players who are very new to trading from being scammed for a bit.
