Please check this article for further information. http://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/487870763308910611/ I have loads of screen tearing and screen flickering after I joined a "Fast Drop" server. Please help me get rid of this error. Thanks in advance. -Microline
My suggestions since you already verified the game cache: 1. ) Make sure your drivers are up-to-date (or the most up-to-date drivers are buggy so downgrade) 2.) Wait it out as it may be a problem with a recent update 3. ) - Uninstall CS:GO - Check "common" folder or "Your username" folder for the CS:GO folder. If it's still there then delete it as it contains custom content. - Unsub from any workshop crap -Reinstall - If this fails to work then idk Look through these: https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/490121928347963103/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/523898291513743651/#p1 http://www.forumpc.pl/topic/379882-problem-ze-sterownikiem-ekranu-w-grach/ (google translate it)
Thanks for the reply! Actually I tried all three of these methods before. None of these worked. I tried limiting my FPS, but it works for like a couple of minutes or so. I tried decreasing and increasing my refresh rate and changing fps_max (20,30,60) None if these worked. This actually started after I joined a server. I don't think it's the game's update. Right when I joined the server, I saw my screen flickering a lot. I had to run Task Manager and quit CS:GO. I'm still not sure what's up with it actually. I hope this fixes pretty soon.
Did you do suggestion #3? Right the game and select properties local files browse local files Leave the explorer window open then uninstall the game via Steam After it's fully done uninstalling check the explorer window & refresh. If you get an error that it can't find the folder then my suggestion probably didn't work. If there's still files left in the folder then delete all of them(revo uninstaller maybe?). Then reinstall
Yes, I used that method also, but the program I used was IObit Uninstaller. It clearly cleaned CS:GO out of my computer, but I'm still getting these screen tearing issues as of today.
