    Hello guys. I now have an interest in coding. I don't know very much commands because I'm new to coding. I'm not sure if anyone knows anything about coding, but I do have some questions about it.

    1. What is the best software to use for coding?
    2. How do you get the software?
    3. How do you start to try and make a video game from coding?

    Also, If you do know how to code, please tell me what you do or what codes you know because I want to know more about coding.

    For starting. I personally would Recommend a program called scratch (VERY BASIC)
    If you want to actually want to look at something abit more useful, You can use Visual Basic.
    Not sure what to use at a higher level though

    I would highly recommend visual basic, you can get it for free off the microsoft website. I've used visual basic to make a lot of games but it does have a pretty steep learning curve.

    I personally use Notepad+ since I do basic Php. I suggest getting to know how to do basic coding like that in Php by hand before you attempt to do stuff in more advanced languages for games.

    I personally use Sublime Text for HTML, PHP, CSS and all the various web stuff I do.

    @Bottswana, God of Development, introduced me to Sublime.
