Changing a Steam Name

Now, I'm not sure if this deserves to be in Tech Talk, but here goes.

I've been changing my name sometimes based on what is worthy of a name at that moment, but ever since the start of October, whenever I change my name, the next day it reverts back to my old name. Some say that it is the Steam Authenticator's fault on my phone, but A). I tried changing it on both my phone and computer simultaneously, but it didn't work, B). I even tried logging out on my phone in case of some sort of multiple logged in device problem, and C). I've had the app since March, so it'd be random for it to just start now. Not sure if I've been visiting the wrong websites, but I need a little help here. Thanks guys.

 

so you only change your name on PC while ur logged in on ur phone? whenever i try that it reverts my name. is there a setting or option or something?
