We'd like to introduce the Harpoon Community Board. The Community Board's goal is to work with the staff to improve various aspects of Harpoon. The board is not a staff position, instead it is for dedicated regulars and donators. Board members will receive a unique role on Discord and the forums, as well as access to a private channel on Discord and sub-forum. The board elects a President and a Vice president, each for three month terms. Additional officers will be added if a majority of the board agrees. The duties of the officers include leading discussions on suggestions, organizing the priority of suggestions made, ensuring the board is running smoothly, active, and growing. The board meets as often as it wants, conducts discussions on its sub-forum and its discord channel, and discusses improvements for Harpoon, be it suggestions, recommendations for staff, or plans, etc. Once a month, the board will meet with Senior Management staff to present their best ideas. Board membership will first be offered by the senior management staff, as the board grows, the board will start to manage itself. Board members and Staff may propose others, and a simple majority vote confirms them. As for removals, active and contributing members retain their role until they choose to retire. Rule breakers may have their membership revoked. This is a new concept to Harpoon and to our knowledge, gaming communities. Our goal is to have a board that is active and that runs itself. Dedicated regulars are what make communities thrive, and this is our way of making sure our regulars are heard. If successful, we may have the board review all suggestions. Current Board Members:
