Addressed Suggestion: Friendly mode for donors.

STAY IN SPAWN
Harpoon is a trading server, ment for trading, not Killing people, thats just a additional thing added so you dont get bored waiting for a trade request. If you want to be friendly, you can, but dont complain if someone kills you. If you want to join a friendly only server then their are plenty of them in the server search browser. I honestly tired of people complaining, either stay in spawn, switch teams or leave the server, simple as that.

 

Many weapons already can effect pvp(snipers throwing jarate, madmilk, sandmann balls and lets not forget the Holiday punch.
Basicly it would be overpowered, nobody wants a pyro airblasting them in a corner and let their teammembers kill you.
Without admins, it can get pretty hectic and people will start to abuse it.

 

Does jarate attack? No it doesnt, does airblasting attack? No it doesn't, its the same thing with resizing yourself, you get hurt for attacking but you can still throw and airblast other people.

 

Faded, the simple explanation is it causes more problems than it solves, which is why we generally advise people that if they want to be friendly they can stay in spawn. You're still free to attempt to make a friendly party in the battlefield but that depends on the people on the server.

Concu I have no clue why you were being so aggressive about the suggestion. Getting tired of a question being asked is irrelevant. There's a reason the question keeps getting asked and expecting everyone in the community to know by now is a ridiculous expectation.

Although there used to be a donator lounge in one of the older maps that served as a friendly zone.

 

The suggestion sounds pretty good though. If you can't get attacked nor be attacked then it should be fine. Sure you could throw Jarate and mad milk but hey you can also do that if you use the donor command to resize yourself so it does not really create additional problems.

 

It can easily lead to glitches and exploits which probably wouldn't be worth the time implementing for what results it gets.

 

What I do is if I walk out and get sniped I switch to snyper and try hard mode on them for 5 mins or so until I think I'm good. Usually works if I don't keep sniping them because the duels are fun
