Chapters History of Spycrabbing Define : Spycrab Spycrab Duels 1) History of Spycrabbing 2) Define : Spycrab 3) Spycrab Duels The spycrab was first spotted on July 6th, 2008 by YouTuber Kilorat. The Spycrab is a peaceful creature who walks along the battlefield not harming anyone. Their movement is slow and they always resemble a crab when walking around. To do the spycrab all you need to do is : Crouch, Look up with your disguise kit out and walk around. At first doing this was a glitch but VALVE found it hilarious and at a later date added it so that you have a 1 in 6 chance of doing the spycrab when you taunt with your disguise kit out. Although the chance of getting the spycrab taunt is debated, Robin Walker states here that the chance of getting the spycrab taunt is 1 in 6. Once this taunt was put in place it did not take long for people to work out different ways that they could use this taunt to gamble. Origin of the spycrab : "A meme from the online FPS Team Fortress 2. When the class Spy holds his disguisekit, crouch, look upwards and walk forward, he kinda resembles the walk of a crab, and hence the name Spycrab was born. Other than being completley worthless in combat, Spycrab rushes is often a huge failure. *crouching spy, holding disguisekit, looking upwards and walking forward like a spy crab*: I'm a crab!" Below I will state the main 3. 1v1 Spycrab : The 1v1 spycrab is the most common. The rules are simple. Players agree on a wager (bet) They then agree what it's first to (first to 3 spycrab taunts loses/wins or first to 5 etc etc) Players stand opposite each other They must have their disguise kits out They can't crouch/move around/jump They must taunt in sync If the game was first to 3 loses the person who does 3 spycrab taunts would lose and have to pay the other person the wager. Three, Four, Five-way : Typically these crabs will only go up to 5. More than 5 can be classed as a Mass Server Spycrab (see below). It is the same as 1v1 but it's 1v1v1, 1v1v1v1, 1v1v1v1v1. Once again [typically] it is first to 3 Spycrab taunts loses. Players agree on a wager (bet) They then agree what it's first to (first to 3 spycrab taunts loses/wins or first to 5 etc etc) Players stand in a circle They must have their disguise kits out They can't crouch/move around/jump They must taunt in sync If the game was first to 3 loses the people who do 3 spycrab taunts first will lose and have to pay the winner the wager. This goes on until there are 2 people left, where it turns in to a 1v1 Spycrab (see above) Players get told what the donation is The admin tells them the rules.
