Just curious but is getting those light up gaming keyboards worth it? I've heard that it's kind of good and kind of not good.

Depends on your personal preference. I like pretty lights and customisability

Most keyboards would have their own programs which you can download from the company's site and it will give you many options with the lights and can set up macros. Other keyboards have buttons on the keyboard itself which can set it up but in turn, it will most likely not have many options with it be ripple effects and colours etc.

In most cases, a keyboard like that would be quite high quality so I would say yes.

I have the k95 (pre-corsair gaming edition) and it's amazing. That being said like 90% of my build is corsair so don't take my word as gospel. Definitely would look in to it though. Not a fan of the k95 paltinum though which is the current gen. They fucked with the typeface, removed some of the macro buttons (down to 6 from 18) that being said i do like the keycaps of the macro buttons on the platinum

Razer Ornata is my recommendation. Mid-height keys, solid feeling force feedback, and comes with either green or rgb leds and an AMAZING wristrest
