Read Me Public Poll: Preference on Forum Style

This is a good first step to get the community bonded along with allowing for more people to join and delve in the forums as well. The referral system is a good idea: giving people incentives for more members to be here as well.

 

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll post it here so other staff and players can see.

I would like a light theme similar to the forums you've linked, Joe, they seem very clean and compact. A dark theem would also suffice, though

 

The Darker Theme is in my opinion very good looking. As well as it goes well with the banner which is blue. So honestly I would keep the Darker Theme.

Call me old fashioned, but I think the forums are good the way they are. I don't know if its just me, but every forum I go on that has a white/light theme to it is a little rough on the eyes. I don't know if I can say much about the layout and location of certain sub-forums and threads considering my time here and having everything memorized, but if we can get a "new player friendly" type of layout and design that will boost traffic here, I think everyone would agree that more people on the forums can boost a communities popularity, and make the forums a more "enjoyable" place for newcomers.

 

Is it possible for the user to select between like and dark?

 

If there is a darker theme, I can check on the forums at work without getting caught. Bad reason for good purposes.

I prefer the current style as it is easier for my eyes to see. The lighter styles are just not appealing either to me. I feel as if the forums wouldnt be something i want to go on with lighter themes as the dark theme just appeals to me alot more

I like both some I'm fine with any of the choices. But I do like the idea of being able to switch between both styles with a change theme button or something.

Personally I like dark colors and love the look of the forums as it is right now. But I do agree some reorganization should be done.

 

I really like the darker blue colour. I have always enjoyed the Harpoon Gaming sign and webbpage. My own opinion i'd like to keep it that way.
