getin new motherboard so i can play dark souls 3

any ways i just recently got some new comp things for Christmas, one of the sort being a amd fx 6300 black edition cpu, so (me being dumb and "new" to computers" i laid down my $800+ computer ON MY BEDROOM CARPET (like i said, "new"). Luckily i didn't fry anything with static electricity, but apparently my new cpu isnt compatible with my current motherboard. (it isnt the right socket) then i spent $50 on a new one so i could get my new cpu in. luckily i got a 3tb expansion so i could hold my steam games and important stuff when i replace my motherboard.
